Belarusian shoe store releases commercial inspired by ‘Pulp Fiction’ and the ‘Confused Travolta’ meme

A Belarusian shoe store has released a new commercial inspired by an Internet meme based on the 1994 film “Pulp Fiction.” The “Confused Travolta” meme became a hit in November 2015, with Internet users creating GIFs of actor John Travolta standing around confused in various settings. (The original was a toy store.)

In the Belarusian shoe store's advertisement, a man dressed like Travolta's Vincent Vega character walks into an empty shoe store. All the shoes, it turns out, have been sold, because of the store's “criminally good sales.” At the end of the commercial, the man opens a shoe box and is showered in golden light—another nod to Tarantino's classic.
