On March 17, Russian health officials announced that they recorded 21 new cases of coronavirus in the previous 24 hours, bringing the country's number of confirmed COVID-19 infections to 114.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, 104 of the confirmed cases are “imported,” meaning that health officials now believe 10 of the infections were transmitted inside Russia.
A day earlier, on March 16, Russia recorded 30 new cases of coronavirus.
